I'm typing this from the laptop in the basement, which is the only place in our house that currently has an internet connection. It was decided that we should re-wire the house before the modem arrived and our ISP set up, but then we got side tracked and now we don't know where the router's power brick is, so i've been unfortunately internetless for several weeks now (hence the absence).

the job is going well, I'm still learning and there's no end to the work to be done, so i'm pretty much busy from the moment i get there til the moment i leave, and i could keep right on working and still have plenty to do. i still like it even though it's frustrating at times. i think it'll get better when i know better what i'm doing, but who knows.

the house is good, still working on a lot of stuff. we didn't get much unpacked yet because we haven't finished the bedroom, so all the bedroom furniture is still in another room, so we can't paint that room yet because of all the stuff in there, and can't put other stuff away because we haven't painted, and...it seems that once we get the bedroom taken care of the whole rest of the house should almost unpack itself, as we gradually get furniture and cabinets and shelves put where they belong. the fishies are still in smaller temporary tanks, until we can get into the rooms where their tanks will end up and wire in GFCI outlets for them. that will be soon, hopefully.

so things are going...we're just busy and mostly lacking internets. i'm reachable on google talk (via my crackberry) and by email, if anyone wants to chat in the mean time. it's car show weekend, if anyone in the chicago area cares and wants to see a bunch of the same kind of cars with various things done to them. for anyone not in the chicago area, feel free to email or message me, because i'm probably going to be quite bored. i don't mind hanging out with people but i can only look at cars for so long.
